Saturnia is a delightful town, founded in Roman times. The history of the Tuscan town of Saturnia begins in Roman times and continues with the arrival of the Aldobrandeschi family, followed by the Orsini Counts. The fate of the town was then decided by the Republic of Siena, which held power over it until its annexation to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
